Shipdesign is able to develop tailor made software, as part of the service provided.

Shipdesign recommends the use of a compact assessment list, as part of the Assessment Method. This Assessment Method can be used on board and in the simulator.

The assessment requirements included in this list, are the sum of the basic assessment requirements and the assessment requirements added by the company. 

Only crew action that can be observed and compared with established standards is assessable.
Other crew action is not-assessable.

When an assessment requirement is not met, a not-assessable action can be the underlying reason. Therefore not assessable action is also recorded.

Naturally this is also valid when a very good performance is shown by the crew.

Example:

‘The officer gave correct and timely orders to the helmsman under high pressure’
Assessable:         correct and timely orders.

Not-Assessable: workload management

Records need to be kept in a secure database to protect the privacy of your crew.
