The Engine Control Room is at the heart of the ship.

The Officers manning the ECR are the ships technical operators.

During normal operations, the task of a ships engineer is complex, on modern ships.

In abnormal situations, engineers will need to react on very short notice, using all skills and knowledge to operate the ship.

Short response time is important in abnormal/emergency situations.  

The Officers working in the ECR will have a lot of support from the compact and easy use procedures developed by Shipdesign.

A Crew Concept will help to create excellent communications between the Bridge and the ECR, especially during abnormal/emergency events.
